Actually, we were spoiled at Ragbrai-- our team (Sprint, though we never did) had a guy who made great coffee (and I'm a coffee snob, too) every morning at 6! Mr. Bob. He also brought beer. Hmm, maybe I should do Ragbrai again... No, seriously, less people is great -- though I can be relaxed and have coffee too.
What I would have really liked on Ragbrai though, was ICED coffee. By the time we had been riding for a couple hours, hot coffee did not appeal.
I hope there is coffee here in WI in the morning! I haven't done this ride before, it is only our second tour.
Cheers,
Audrey

Great, I'm getting pumped. It helped to make out my list of stuff to take. I have one room assigned for this-what a mess , but I'll get organized eventually.
Have you done this ride before-and to anyone reading this, is there coffee available in the morning? I'm one of those caffeine addicts (no energy drinks, just coffee) and it's a must have in the mornings.
Ragbrai last year-do you remember the lady selling the Fair Trade Organic coffee, what a life saver!
Can't wait.

Thanks for posting the countdown! Since we did Ragbrai last year,I'm having a hard time getting it in my head that this tour is a MONTH EARLIER! So it's good that someone is keeping tabs for me!
We did a century last weekend -- flat, but 25 miles of it into 17 mph headwinds . Makes for a long slow day...
Still, can't wait for a week of cycling.
Cheers,
Audrey

I guess I'm lucky. Packing light is easy because nothing short of surgery would make me look good.
Mosquitoes: Yep, there here. You won't be bothered during the daylight hours, but in the hours just after twilight they make themselves known.
Weather: It can get into the mid 90's here, but not very often. On the flip side you could experience some mornings down in the low 50's.

Excitement is building-got my list together last night and started laying everything out that's coming with me on the ride. I'm trying not to overpack but it's hard being a girl -takes lots of stuff to look pretty!
Can anyone tell me if there are lots of mosquitoes along the ride?
Others that live in Wisconsin-how's the weather, can't be as hot as it is in Memphis, we are going up to the mid 90's by the middle of the week. With the humidity, anything done outside is tough.
Can't wait to meet everyone-to steal a line from RAGBRAI-
It's just another day in paradise!
