Wow, that's a lot of wind. Not much wind the last few days here, we had a cold front come through, suppose to ride in the morning -should be about 55 but going up to 70 by the time we're done. Big weekend here in Memphis, we the the Memphis in May Bar-B-Q going on downtown and the Memphis In May Triathlon this weekend. Going out Sunday to cheer my friends on!
Yes, work has been less than tolerable and anxious for GRABAAWR to get started!

I may do a day or two since it coming so close again this year( with in 35 miles). Like you said to many people, heard Lance is riding it again so will draw more.GRABAAWR is more relaxing and the north part of Wisconsin has a lot of trees so wind is not a factor. The people are great, road less crowded.less corn and beans.
We had 40 mph gust of winds the last few day so been hard to ride here.Hope you have had better conditions. Getting anxious for the ride, work been a pain, but will be here and gone before I know it. Happy biking Jim

Are you doing RAGBRAI this year? Noticed that you were in Estherville, IA
I rode RAGBRAI 2005 and was in Estherville the night of the 'Storm'-pretty exciting. All lot of people gave up at that point, bu my group kept going.
Also did RAGBRAI 2006-sooo hot, and goodness, so many hills (I live in the delta area, I prefer to call them little mountains!). RAGBRAI is fun, but after too much heat, hills, and sleep deprivation I am ready to experience something new. I expect that there will be more than the 10,000 that's allowed on the roads this year.
It's just another day in paradise!

No the weather won't be perfect but I think we will deal with it as true bikers do. and we will all have a good time because we are riding our bikes and not at work. Last year the mileage was off a little any way as with most rides. Most days should be around 70 miles give or take. they should have a 100 mile option day . We don't get maps or que sheets untill we check in. Hope this helps , I going by how last years ride was. See you there and lets have some fun riding. Planning on it now! Did a Bike fit with one of our bike shops in Collierville, TN (BIKE WORLD-they are wonderful) fixed some major problems I have been having since riding and I am good to go now!
So, the weather will be perfect and we will have a tailwind all seven days, right?
Yes-looking forward to the ride and meeting everyone.
