Oddly, as parts north of us bake, we had a balmy 87 with low humidity.  Good riding weather.

JohnH,

Should be a great day for riding on Saturday. I know I will be out.

Sorry, couldn't hear you:
Too much wind in my ears!
Tomorrow I'll be heading out again to Blue Mounds to work out in the hills.
Only 3 more weeks!

Never seems to be much action here. Only 250 training miles in so far. In a week will be doing Minnesota MS150. Any one else from MPLS area doing GRABAAWR? Doing both GRABAAWR and RAGBRAI this year.

Well, I've managed 30 miles everyday this weekend.  Not much, but we're starting to get into the thick, hot, muggy weather.

And, welcome.  I was a solo newbie 2 years ago.  I had no problem meeting up with similar people.  (Watch out for the party crowd unless you have a good liver).

There is not a lot of activity on this forum.  Maybe most tour riders do not spend any time on the computer.  There was not much either last year when I rode it.  I have not decided on this year yet, wife is not keen on it.  But she may relent, she knows it is good exercise for me.

Perhaps there are some still digging out from the snow? Caught up in the presidential election? Closely following the American Idol and Dancing with the Stars finales??

Or..maybe they are training :) Not to worry, as a staffer who posted only a few days ago, I can tell you, we are busy, busy working on bringing you (and the other 500 or so currently registered) one great bicycle tour, and, to an extent, busy enjoying Spring now that the weather is here.

And there's a saying, goes something like 'you can lead a cyclist to a forum, but you can't make them post'. ;)

Well, it's less than 6 weeks from GRABAAWR, and little to no posts here from newbies (me), veterans, staff, hangers-on, etc.  I thought this site would be a beehive of activity by now!  No questions, concerns, general BS?  I'm getting excited, even though very little riding to date due to the crummy spring.  Is anyone else going, or will I truly be solo?:D
